Hills Like White Elephants

Main character: Who is it? What makes him/her unique and worth writing about? What are the most significant features of his/her personality?
The main character is the woman and the man. I think they wrote about them because they have a problem and there talking about what is best. The most significant features of their personality would be the way they talk about this problem and how they are taking it.
Conflict: What two forces are at odds in the story? Why are they at odds?
The conflict of this story is that they are talking about whether the woman should get an abortion or not. They talk about what is best. The man doesn't care if she aborts or not. The woman isn't sure if she should do it or not she is like in between. You can tell in a way that they don't want it because the woman is drinking and then the man don't seem to care he says 'if you want to do it but you don't have to' .
Message: What should the reader learn about life and the way the world works from this story?
The reader should learn that if you don't want to come face to face with a situation like this then don't have sex. Also if they do come face to face with something like this then have the baby and take care of it because its your child and they shouldn't just get rid of it and think everything is over. Having an abortion is a very difficult situation. That leaves people sad even if they don't want the baby.
Vocabulary: choose at least one unfamiliar word to look up and explain what it means in the context.
There wasn't a lot of unfamiliar words. Id say I know all of them except for "Junction" I didn't know what that mean't but by using context clues I see what I think it means. I thought it mean't like a place to wait at. Because it says that She was going to stop at this junction for two minutes. I looked it up and the words means - A point where two or more things are joined or A place where two or more roads or railroad lines meet.
