Demonstrations

In public speaking, we are having to do a presentation tomorrow about how to demonstrate something to the class. We must be experts at this, and do and outline for this to turn in to the teacher. Our outline is simple like this:

  • Introduction
    • Attention Getter- Which grabs attention from your audience
    • Thesis Statement- Which states your topic
    • Significance- Where you explain why the audience should know about this? and Why your an expert at this?
    • Overview-  Which is a brief overview of the steps you will demonstrate
  • Body
    • Step one (main point)
      • Detailed Explanation Of Step
    • Step two (main point)
      • Detailed Explanation Of Step
and so on.....
lastly the:

  • Conclusion
    • Review- Where you do a restatement of the steps.
    • Finality- Where you give your audience a closure and a sense of accomplishment
This above is the outline we are using to study and present speech presentations or stuff like this. Mr Paul says it's not always going to be like this that it will change some time.

I hope I do great tomorrow! Am nervous...  I didn't know what to show the class so am doing "How to Wrap a Present"!  I have four steps in my demonstration.

Mr. Paul is a great teacher, when am in his class he talks about all these things that make me trust myself when am up there giving a speech or what ever we do in front of a class. So far am doing good.. I hope I do better, and I really want to kill my shyness.
